Skills:

1. Analytical Method Development & Validation: Development of LC, LC/MS-MS assays to determine concentrations of drugs in biological matrices of plasma, urine, amniotic fluid and organs. 2. PK Studies: PK characterization by animal handling/surgery of blood collection from rat jugular vein or tail; interpretation with mathematical modeling to derive kinetic parameters, and statistical analysis by SAS 9.3, GraphPad Prism 5 and Excel. 3. PK Modeling & Simulations: Development of (compartmental & population) pharmacokinetic models to describe PK data and estimate PK parameters in the pregnant ewe-fetus model with WinNonlin, NONMEM, Matlab software, and the establishment of PK/PD correlations. 4. PMAT Transport: In vitro cell culture of PMAT & Vector transfected HEK & MDCK cells, uptake experiments and MTT toxicity assays to assess the effect of structure of compounds on the PMAT transport. 5. Biomaterials of MRI-Visible Multilayers: Self-assembly of amphiphilic alkylated PEI/superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanoparticles using layer-by-layer method and characterization of the MRI-visible coatings by particle size, zeta potential and biocompatibility.
