Abstract:
A method of laser welding which controls the shifts inherent in laser welding by utilizing physical force and multiple welds. The parts are carefully aligned, and then a first laser weld utilizing symmetric simultaneous balanced beams is accomplished. Mechanical force is then applied. While maintaining the mechanical force additional laser welds are accomplished thus securing the element while maintaining proper alignment.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for backing up LEDs are provided. In one embodiment, an LED backup system includes an LED backup controller operable to select from a plurality of power sources to supply electrical energy to a set of LEDs. The plurality of power sources includes a primary power source and a battery. The LED backup controller is adapted to be in selective electrical communication with the primary power source via a first electrical path. The LED backup controller is also adapted to be in electrical communication with the primary power source via a second electrical path. The LED backup controller is operable to select the battery to supply electrical energy to the set of LEDs in response to a failure of the LED backup controller to electrically communicate with the primary power source via the second electrical path.

Abstract:
A collapsible worklight assembly comprises a head assembly and a multi-legged support assembly. The head assembly includes first and second worklights hingedly attached to each other, allowing the head assembly to be open in a deployed configuration and closed in a collapsed configuration. The head assembly is hingedly attached to the multi-legged support assembly. The multi-legged support assembly includes a support head and a plurality of support legs. The support head includes a hinged connection to the head assembly that allows the plurality of support legs to rotate towards the head assembly in a collapsed configuration and away from the head assembly in a deployed configuration.
A lighting system includes a reflector housing with a LED light source having multiple LEDs and an induction light source located within the reflector housing.

Abstract:
A linear water meter system may include a metering system, a ball valve, a power generation system, a wireless communication system, or a combination thereof. The linear water meter system may provide a linear pathway through the meter that minimizes pressure loss in the system. Two pathways may be provided through the power generation system. One pathway may be utilized to generate power, and the other pathway may provide a bypass that can be utilized to maintain a desired water pressure level in the system.
