Abstract:

A piezoelectric lighter incorporates with a safety arrangement which includes is movably mounted on a casing in a vertical movable manner wherein a guiding slot is provided on top of the casing to communicate with an exterior thereof. A locking member includes a locking arm disposed in the ignition cavity and an operation button slidably mounted on an ignition button. A resilient element is adapted for applying an urging pressure against the locking arm so as to normally retain the locking arm in a locking position. In which, in the locking position, the locking arm blocks up the ignition button from ignition. In order to ignite the piezoelectric lighter, a users thumb must operate the operation button for moving the locking arm to an unlocking position. Then, the user is able to push the ignition button downwardly to ignite the piezoelectric lighter.

Abstract:

Disclosed are methods, apparatuses, etc. for glucose sensor signal stability analysis. In certain example embodiments, a series of samples of at least one sensor signal that is responsive to a blood glucose level of a patient may be obtained. Based at least partly on the series of samples, at least one metric may be determined to assess an underlying trend of a change in responsiveness of the at least one sensor signal to the blood glucose level of the patient over time. A reliability of the at least one sensor signal to respond to the blood glucose level of the patient may be assessed based at least partly on the at least one metric assessing an underlying trend. Other example embodiments are disclosed herein.

Abstract:

A lighting fixture lighter includes a frame body including a light transmitting window, a flame generator, and an illumination fixture built-in with the lighter for generating illumination light for illumination purpose. The illumination fixture includes a power source, a light source unit supported within a light compartment and aligning with the light transmitting window, and a light button to activate the light source unit for generating an illumination light, so that the illumination light is emitted out of the light transmitting window for illumination purpose. In order to enhance the light intensity of the light source unit, a light reflector is further provided within the light compartment for reflecting the illumination light from the light source unit, such that the lighter not only provides the traditional ignition function, but also provides an added on illumination function in the single compact lighter housing.

Abstract:

A method and system are provided for adaptive video key frame selection. The system includes a range determination device for selecting portions of a video sequence to be analyzed for video key frame selection at a specific time based on at least a video key frame computational cost estimate. Each of the portions encompasses a respective range of frames in the video sequence. The system further includes a localized optimization device for analyzing the portions of the video sequence to select video key frames therein utilizing a hybrid video key frame selection process that is based on heuristics and global optimization. At least one constraint relating to at least a computational capacity of the system is explicitly modeled in the hybrid video key frame selection process.
