Abstract:
A microwave susceptor composite which includes a first layer of polymeric fibrous material, and a second layer of thermoplastic polymer material having microwave susceptive characteristics. The polymeric susceptor and polymeric fibrous material layers are arranged in lamina surface-to-surface contact and bonded into an integral structure by application of heat and pressure. A uniform composite material is obtained by carding the polymeric fibrous materials prior to bonding the first and second layers. In microwave cooking applications the fibrous layer of the composite absorbs excess effluents from the food product. Browning and crisping of food products is effected by microwave excitation of the metallized second layer of the composite.

Abstract:
Dry blended carbonate or phosphate-based laundry detergents are prepared by adding to unhydrated or partially hydrated builder salts, a pH buffering compound and a detergent active compound, together with other formulating agents, coarse, hydrous granular water soluble silicate particles, the silicate particles passing a 10 mesh screen and about 95% of the particles are retained on a 100 mesh screen, according to the disclosed method. Dry blended laundry detergents so formulated are substantially completely free of insoluble product lumps when used in cold wash water in the temperature range of 35. degree. -75. degree. F.

Abstract:
A heavy duty laundry liquid detergent composition in the form of an aqueous emulsion/suspension contains, as surfactant, alkyl sulfate or alkyl ether sulfate plus branched chain alkyl benzene sulfonate in specified proportions; one or more phosphate salts as builder; and alkali metal sulfate as stabilizing agent.
Mixed Ethoxylated Alcohol/Ethoxy Sulfate Surfactants And Synthetic Detergents Incorporating The Same
A process for the preparation of mixed ethoxylated alcohol/ethoxy sulfate surfactants, such surfactants, and detergent formulations incorporating the same. The mixed surfactants comprise a neutralized blend incorporating, in addition to the sulfated and unsulfated ethyoxylated alcohols, from 2 to 10% by weight unethoxylated alcohols and from 6 to 50% by weight unethoxylated alcohol sulfates in the proportions defined within the region ABCDE in the accompanying drawing.
