An underwater filtration operator which can be suspended in a river, lake, pond or other water body to filter water from the water body. The underwater filtration operator may be electrically charged to discharge impurities in the water body and increase filtering efficiency and the operator includes a housing having a selected configuration and divided into one or more filtration units, each of which includes a filter medium for filtering water from the water body. A pump is provided in the housing for receiving the filtered water from the filtration units and pumping the filtered water to a collection tank or dispenser or directly to an end user or to a reverse-osmosis water filtration unit for further filtration.
An underwater filtration system or operator which can be floated on and suspended in a river, lake, pond or other water body to filter water from the water body. The underwater filtration operator may be electrically charged with simultaneous introduction of continuous forced air to remove impurities from the water body and increase filtering efficiency and the system includes a split housing having a selected configuration and divided into one or more filtration units, each of which includes a filter medium or mediums for filtering water from the water body. A pump is provided in the interior of the system housing for receiving the filtered water from the filtration units and pumping the filtered water to a collection tank or dispenser, directly to an end user or to a reverse-osmosis water filtration unit for further filtration. This unique operator allows selected individual filtration compartments to be backwashed while other filtration compartments are producing filtered water without the necessity of an external clean water storage tank.
An underwater filtration operator for floating in a water body and filtering water in the water body, including a housing provided with a plurality of filtration units, each of which has at least one filter medium for filtering water from the water body. A pump housing receives water from the filtration units. A plurality of raw water chambers are disposed between the filtration units and the housing, and are configured to be in water communication with the water body, the filtration units and the pump housing. At least one positively charged bar is disposed in each of the raw water chambers, and is held in position therein by means of a support mechanism that is attached to the housing of the underwater filtration operator.

Abstract:
A failed bearing indicator for detecting and indicating an overheated axle journal in a railcar axle bearing. In a preferred embodiment the failed bearing indicator is characterized by an elongated connector chain terminated on each end by a T-shaped connector bracket. Each of the connector brackets is typically bolted to a common pedestal adaptor which is mounted on each corresponding axle bearing of the railcar, and one of the fastening bolts is constructed of a heat-resistant material and the other fastening bolt is constructed of a heat-sensitive material. In the event that the axle bearing overheats during travel of the railcar on the railroad, the heat-sensitive bolt melts and releases the corresponding connector bracket from the pedestal adaptor, while the other connector bracket, secured by the heat-resistant bolt, remains attached to the pedestal adaptor. The released connector bracket, suspended from the connector chain, strikes and activates a typically conventional dragging equipment sensor adjacent to the railroad, to alert railroad personnel to the overheated bearing before complete failure of the bearing. In another embodiment a rectangular offset bend connector plate is provided on each end of the connector chain in place of the connector brackets, to facilitate attachment of the connector chain to the pedestal adaptor.
A speedometer and tachometer cable greasing adaptor enables grease to be applied into either a speedometer or tachometer cable housing in which the cable rotates. The cable housing is unscrewed from the vehicle's transmission or motor and any connecting devices are removed from the cable housing, but not the cable itself. The greasing adaptor has external threads that fit the internal threads on the bottom end of the cable housing. The threaded end of the greasing adaptor is then screwed into the threaded cable housing and is attached securely. An ordinary grease gun is then attached to the grease fitting located on the greasing adaptor. A sufficient amount of grease can then be pumped through the greasing adaptor into the cable housing without removing the cable from the housing.
An apparatus for lubricating cables including a main body and a grease fitting, the grease fitting being fitted into a first end of the main body opposite a second internally threaded end.
