Abstract:

Disclosed are fungicidal mixtures, compositions and methods for controlling plant diseases relating to combinations comprising (a) at least one compound selected from phenylamidines of Formula I, N-oxides, and agriculturally suitable salts thereof (I) wherein A is Calkylene, optionally substituted with one or two methyl; W is CRRRor SiRRR; and R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, Rand Rare as defined in the disclosure; and (b) at least one compound selected from alkylenebis(dithiocarbamate) fungicides, compounds acting at the bccomplex of the fungal mitochondrial respiratory electron transfer site, cymoxanil, compounds acting at the demethylase enzyme of the sterol biosynthesis pathway, morpholine and piperidine compounds that act on the sterol biosynthesis pathway, phenylamide fungicides, pyrimidinone fungicides, chlorothalonil, carboxamides acting at complex II of the fungal mitochondrial respiratory electron transfer site, quinoxyfen, metrafenone, cyflufenamid, cyprodinil, copper compounds, phthalimide fungicides, fosetyl-aluminum, benzimidazole fungicides, cyazofamid, fluazinam, iprovalicarb, propamocarb, validamycin, dichlorophenyl dicarboximide fungicides, zoxamide and dimethomorph, and their agriculturally suitable salts.

Abstract:

This invention discloses fungicidal compositions comprising(1) at least one compound selected from 2-(R)-3-(R)-pyrimidin-4(3H)-ones fused at the 5- and 6-positions to G(R)(R) (i.e. compounds of Formula (I), including all geometric and stereoisomers, as defined in the disclosure), N-oxides, and suitable salts thereof, wherein G is a fused phenyl, thiophene or pyridine ring; Ris C-Calkyl or C-Ccycloalkylalkyl; Ris C-Calkyl, C-Calkoxy or C-Calkylthio; Ris halogen; and Ris hydrogen or halogen; and (2) at least one dinitrophenolic compound selected from 1,3-dinitro-5-R-benzenes further substituted at either the 2- or 4-position with —OC(═O)J (i.e. compounds of Formula (III) and/or compounds of Formula (II), including all geometric and stercoisomers, as defined in the disclosure), wherein J is C-Calkyl, C-Calkoxy or C-Calkenyl; and Ris C-Calkyl. This invention also discloses methods for controlling powdery mildew plant diseases caused by fungal plant pathogens which involve applying to the plant or portion thereof, or to the plant seed or seedling, a fungicidally effective amount of such compositions.
