A case () for a stick () of material to be applied by friction rubbing, in particular a lipstick, including:—a cup (), a mechanism () for displacing the cup including: a hollow cylindrical internal body (); a hollow cylindrical external body (), in which the internal body () is fitted so as to pivot with respect to the external body () around the main axis (X); elements for blocking translational movement between the internal body () and the external body (); a casing (), at least partially covering the displacement mechanism (); elements for rotating the external body () with respect to the internal body (); and a lid (), hinged on the casing (), independent of the displacement mechanism () of the cup ().
