A pen pack is disclosed which is mountable on the back of the writing hand of a user to provide ready access to a writing, marking or scribing implement when required. The pen pack includes a telescopic writing implement and an actuating mechanism disposed in a casing which may be readily affixed to the wearer's hand. The actuating mechanism includes a plunger which is depressed against an external object to actuate the pen pack, a feeder line subassembly which coacts with the plunger, and a rotational shaft which also coacts with the plunger and to which the telescopic writing instrument is affixed. Depression of the plunger causes the telescopic writing instrument to rotate into a writing position. Concomitantly, the feeder line subassembly causes the telescopic writing instrument to be extended to a fully telescoped position so that the user may grip the writing instrument and utilize it for writing, marking or scribing. The feeder line subassembly also includes a retraction mechanism which causes the telescopic writing instrument to be returned to its original position when the user releases the telescopic writing instrument.
A card file adaptor is described that permits non-destructive mounting of business cards and the like in conventional card files. The adaptor has predetermined openings formed in the bottom edge thereof so that the adaptor may be inserted or removed from standard card files. The adaptor includes an adhesive layer along the upper edge thereof for adhering a business card thereto. Leveling tabs and/or leveling notches are formed in the card file adaptor to provide physical structures for aligning the business card with respect to the card file adaptor for adherence thereto.
A depth gauge is provided that is configured to be removably coupled to a tool. The depth gauge having a gauge body, a coupling means to removably couple the gauge body to the tool and a fiducial on the gauge body whereby the fiducial signifies a distance between the fiducial and a portion of the tool. In some embodiments, the coupling means comprises a magnet. In some embodiments, the tool is a wire stripper whereby when the wire stripper is actuated on a coated wire, the wire stripper cuts a portion of the wire coating equal to the distance defined by the fiducial. In some embodiments, the fiducial comprises an abutment protruding from the gauge body. In some embodiments, the depth gauge has multiple fiducials and the gauge body and the fiducials are formed as one piece.
A ligature attachment device for use with a ligature is disclosed, the ligature attachment device comprising a proximal section comprising a loop retainer section, a distal section comprising a tool section, a central section comprising a central ligature spool section having a centrally located cinch aperture and the central ligature spool section is coupled to the loop retainer section and the tool section. The loop retainer section having a loop retainer profile configured to retain a loop of the ligature frictionally engaged with the central ligature spool section. The cinch aperture having an aperture shape configured to allow at least two sections of a ligature to be removably retained in the cinch aperture whereby the cinch aperture can removably retain the loop of the ligature. The tool section comprises a first tool for removably joining a second tool.
