The Novel Liner for Orthopedic Cast is a device consisting of an inflatable bladder containing a matrix of flow channels with an inlet tube and an outlet tube for fluid flow. It serves four purposes: (1) It is a cushion for the injured limb within the protective cast. (2) It can administer a peristaltic massage to the affected area inside the cast to stimulate blood circulation. (3) The temperature of the flow water can be adjusted to cool or warm the injury for alleviation of pain or discomfort. (4) The liner can be partially inflated with air to compensate for atrophy of the immobilized limb, assuring a more correct fitting of the cast giving an extended period of usefulness. This invention increases the efficacy and usefullness of the orthopedic cast.
The gasoline pump clip cap is a novel gas cap which has a "C"-shaped clip incorporated into its design. It serves two purposes: it seals the opening of an automobile gas tank filler pipe like a standard gas cap, and the integral clip can be temporarily installed onto the handle of a gas pump to hold the gas pump handle trigger in the on position. The gasoline customer can release the manual pressure on the trigger while using the clip to maintain the gas flow, thus allowing him to attend to other automobile maintenance chores in the time saved.
A sun-powered engine converts the heat of the sun's rays into mechanical energy which can be used to power a generator or other mechanism having a rotating shaft. The engine, called the "Sunmill" by its inventor, uses heat expanded trapped bubbles to provide buoyancy to vanes contained within a sealed drum thereby causing the drum to rotate. A shaft attached to the axis of the drum is used to transfer power to other devices, such as an electric generator. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a sun-powered engine called the "Sunmill" by its inventor. Heretofore, a number of sun-powered engines have been described. Many of those engines utilize rotating mechanisms which are unbalanced by the boiling of a volatile fluid. For example, such an engine is described in U. S. Pat. No. 389,515 issued Sept.
