  • US Patent:
    7970120, Jun 28, 2011
  • Filed:
    Jan 11, 2007
  • Appl. No.:
    11/622370
  • Inventors:
Edward J. Sceery - Santa Fe NM, US
Richard Krukar - Albuquerque NM, US
  • International Classification:
    H04M 1/65
    H04B 1/38
  • US Classification:
    37938701, 455 306, 4554144, 4555561, 705 51, 705 54
  • Abstract:
A cell phone based sound producing device is a sound producing device that takes advantage of the likelihood that a user is already carrying a cell phone and does not need to also carry an electronic sound producing device. Another advantage is that cell phones are designed to communicate across a communications network. As such, the cell phone based sound producing device can download call sounds from a server, store them, and play them. Electronic payment systems for ring tones and games that are played on a cell phone already exist. These electronic payment systems can be easily adapted for payment of sound producing device modules and sound producing device sounds. Recovery information can be used to restore modules and sounds that are lost due to cell phone breakage or upgrades.

  • US Patent:
    20050142982, Jun 30, 2005
  • Filed:
    Dec 28, 2004
  • Appl. No.:
    11/025505
  • Inventors:
Edward Sceery - Santa Fe NM, US
  • International Classification:
    A63H005/00
  • US Classification:
    446207000
  • Abstract:
An air-operated sound producing device includes a main housing including a downwardly curved reed-plate formed thereon with a plurality of variously sized sound channels formed therein, a reed assembly having at least two vibratable reeds formed thereon, and a means to secure the reed assembly over the downwardly curved reed-plate. The reed-plate provides a portion between the sound channels for center support and vibration of the reed. The reed assembly of the sound producing device is vibratable in whole, or in part, over multiple sound channels. The device is particularly suited for the use of thin, relatively wide reeds. Further, the device provides for the adaptation of a variety of interchangeable variously sized reeds produced from a single piece of material. The disclosed novel device can produce a wide variety of unusual and desirable sounds of considerable volume and has applications to hand-held musical instruments, toys, novelty items, and wildlife attraction devices.

  • US Patent:
    20080170741, Jul 17, 2008
  • Filed:
    Jan 11, 2007
  • Appl. No.:
    11/652328
  • Inventors:
Edward J. Sceery - Santa Fe NM, US
  • International Classification:
    H04R 1/02
  • US Classification:
    381387
  • Abstract:
A convenient electronic sound producing device is an electronic sound producing device that is physically configured to be easy to use in the field. A control module faces the use while the sound is projected away from the user. A pistol grip can be used to ease holding and using the call. A remote can further ease operation and allow control from a distance. A timer allows for nearly autonomous operation. Control modules can be fixed to a firearm, bow, crossbow, or camera to minimize the user's movement while simultaneously calling and preparing for a shot. A pinning hole or a stake can allow for reliably fixing the sound producing device to a surface, to vegetation, or to other objects.
