Abstract:

A gate which hingedly fits closely between two spaced apart fence posts is provided. The gate has a hinge side member which extends directly adjacent a fence post. The hinge side member includes offset portions, each of which is displaced from the respective fence post by a gap. A hinge extends from the fence post across the gap of each offset portion to hingedly couple the gate to the fence post. The gate also has a latch side member which may be removably secured about another fence post. A sleeve having a gate latch coupled thereto is rotatably coupled about the latch member. The latch member has a slot extending therethrough and the sleeve has a notch extending therethrough. The sleeve may be rotated to a locking position on the latch side member where the notch is located over a portion at the slot. A rod extends inside of the latch side member. The rod has a cap end and a hooked end.
