Abstract:
A tubing hanger to facilitate production tubing annulus access including a tubing hanger body having a central bore, a shuttle valve slidably mounted to the tubing hanger body, and at least one annulus access bore through the tubing hanger permitting fluid communication between the central bore and an annulus defined between a production tubing string and a wellbore or casing via the tubing hanger body and the shuttle valve. The shuttle valve may be slidingly movable between an open and a closed position. The tubing hanger may further include a groove enclosed by a filler, the groove providing communication between a plurality of small annulus access bores and a large annulus access bore.
Subsea Tree Cap And Method For Installing The Subsea Tree Cap
A retrievable tree cap for use on a subsea tree having a concentric bore. The tree cap may be installed and retrieved using a remotely operated vehicle. Hydraulic pressure may be used to lock the tree cap onto the subsea tree and to set the tree cap seals. The tree cap is locked onto the subsea tree before setting the seals within the concentric bore. The tree cap includes a locking means that may engage a profile within the subsea tree regardless of the radial orientation of the tree cap. The tree cap may be used to hydraulically isolate an annulus bore from the production bore of the subsea tree. The tree cap may provide for the injection of a corrosion inhibitor within a cavity of the tree cap and may also provide for the removal of water trapped between the tree cap and the subsea tree.

Abstract:
Apparatus and method for isolating an annular bore below a tubing hanger body disposed in a wellhead assembly. The hanger body is characterized by at least two annulus flowby passages that are capable of fluid communication with areas outside the hanger body through the central bore of the hanger body. An integral valve piston is disposed within the central bore of the hanger body, and is operable to axially displace within the central bore between a closed and opened position. The displacement of the piston is caused by the alternating introduction of pressurizing fluid into separate actuation chambers. In the closed position, the piston is positioned so that at least one of the flowby passages is sealingly engaged in a manner that prevents fluid flow through the hanger body from outside sources such as an annulus bore located below the hanger body.
A subterranean oil or gas well apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a single-bore production tubing hanger arranged concentric with a wellhead. The tubing hanger includes a plurality of ports and channels arranged about the tubing hanger to give operators access to the production tubing annulus and provide chemical injection capability. The ports are closable by a sliding valve. The apparatus also includes annulus and production radial-bore stab assemblies between a christmas tree and an internal crossover assembly. The stab assemblies are extendable and retractable between the chirstmas tree and the crossover assembly to allow the retrieval and installation of each independently.

Abstract:
Subsea oil and gas production methods and apparatus and, more particularly, a tubing hanger design for facilitating the control of downhole hydraulic and electrical controls while running the tubing hanger. The tubing hanger may include means for switching hydraulic and/or electrical controls to a side penetrator before the hanger is landed in a tree body. The hanger may include alignment means to ensure proper positioning of hanger prior to landing in a casing. The present disclosure of a method of soft landing a tubing hanger to provide better control prior to landing in the tree body.

Abstract:
A subsea control module for subsea well equipment has an actuator having a rod with a remote operated vehicle (ROV) interface on one end and a latch on an opposite end that latches to a subsea receptacle. Segments are releasably mounted around and to the actuator. Each of the segments has a sealed housing containing at least one internal control component. Couplings depend from the housing for engaging mating couplings in the receptacle. The housing has two radial walls, each extending along a radial line from an axis of the rod. An outer wall joins outer ends of the radial walls, the outer wall being a portion of a cylinder. An inner wall joins inner edges of the radial walls. The radial walls of adjacent ones of the segments abut each other.
Method And Apparatus For Thru-Bop Intervention Operations Using Riser System Components Or Other Modular Components In A Structurally Sound Open-Water Intervention Configuration

Abstract:
A well control assembly for use on subsea wells, especially during intervention or workover operations. The well control assembly is light weight, compact, and modular and, thus, can be deployed from much smaller vessels than conventional open water subsea equipment, while providing an internal diameter greater than or equal to the subsea trees upon which it would be deployed. Unlike conventional assemblies, tension and bending loads imparted by sea currents and/or a floating vessel can be resisted by the robust design of the well control assembly (and, in particular, load housing(s) thereof).
