Abstract:

A networked system collects, aggregates, and distributes the collective wisdom of consumers. An aggregation module obtains, from each of a plurality of reviewing consumers: i) a file comprising a motion video clip depicting a video product review of a product; and ii) the reviewing consumer's indication of at least one categorization data element identifying the product. A motion video clip database stores each motion video clip. A search database stores, for each motion video clip, the at least one product categorization data element identifying the product depicted in the motion video clip. A search module receives a search term from a searching consumer and identifies a selected group of video product reviews. The selected group of video product reviews comprises those video product reviews that are a relevant video product review. A relevant video product review comprises a video product review that is associated with a product categorization data element corresponding to the search term. A monetization module debits a first predetermined value from a merchant's account upon each occurrence of a target event. The target event may comprise the searching consumer initiating interaction with a link associated with web content comprising additional information about the product depicted in the video product review.

Abstract:

A method to access and use an integrated web site from a mobile environment is disclosed. The method includes communicating voice activated commands, using voice recognition technology, to an integrated web site via a wireless communication network and a global informational network. The integrated web site comprises a network-based media station integrated with a global search engine. The voice activated commands are used to access the integrated web site, initiate the transmission of streaming digital media content from the media station to a wireless mobile network terminal, and perform key word searches of the global informational network using the global search engine.

A method to promote branded products and/or services is disclosed. The method includes integrating a brand-specific graphical user interface with a global informational networked-based media station resulting in an integrated web site. Methods to adapt a user interface view, provided by an integrated media/search web site via a global informational network, based on a user's lifestyle are disclosed. The methods include populating a user interface view of the integrated web site with a first set of links to the global informational network, wherein the integrated web site integrates a streaming digital media provider station with a global search engine. A user selects a link from the first set of links or performs a key word search using the global search engine. The user interface view is then re-populated with an updated set of links to the global informational network based on demographic and psychographic associations made by the global search engine in response to at least the most recently selected link, the most recent key word search, or the most recent streaming media content. If a new link or a new key word search is performed, the user interface view is again re-populated with an updated set of links. Also, if the streaming media program content from the provider changes, the user interface view is again re-populated with an updated set of links.

Abstract:

A method to generate revenue for an Internet broadcasting station is disclosed. The method includes providing audio programming content via the Internet broadcasting station over the Internet and providing an Internet search engine as part of the Internet broadcasting station such that a user of the Internet broadcasting station may search for web sites on the Internet without the audio programming content being interrupted. Also, the method includes paying a provider of the Internet broadcasting station a predetermined monetary amount from a sponsor of the Internet broadcasting station every time a user of the Internet broadcasting station goes to a web site of the sponsor using the Internet search engine.
