Abstract:

An improved toilet bowl air deodorizing system comprises a toilet seat hingedly coupled to the toilet bowl permitting the toilet seat to assume horizontal and vertical stable positions and a substantially hollow toilet seat lid hingedly coupled to the toilet bowl likewise permitting the lid to assume stable horizontal and vertical positions. The hollow lid houses both deodorizing means and exhaust means which includes a disposable filter cartridge and a direct drive motor for driving a fan. An intake channel is coupled to a rear portion of the lid and has an opening which is maneuvered into a position proximate the space between the lower surface of the seat and an upper surface of the bowl only when the lid is in its vertical position. Detectors are placed in both the lid and the seat to assure that the exhaust means is energized only when the lid is in its vertical position and a user is sitting on the seat. An improved hinge arrangement is provided.

Abstract:

A toilet bowl ventilating and deodorizing apparatus comprises an odor collector for extracting air from a toilet bowl, a filter assembly for deodorizing the air extracted from the toilet bowl, and a neck coupling the filter assembly to the odor collector, with the odor collector and the neck supporting the filter assembly adjacent the toilet bowl. The odor collector includes a base attachable to the toilet bowl, an air intake carried by the base and positionable adjacent an interior of the toilet bowl, and a sleeve carried by the base in gaseous communication with the air intake. The filter assembly includes an air duct, an impeller assembly for providing air flow through the apparatus, the air duct is coupled to the filter assembly, and a filter is carried between the impeller assembly and the air duct. A switch is carried by the odor collector for activating the filter assembly, a power source for supplying power to the impeller assembly, and a power circuit coupling the power source to the impeller assembly and the switch.

Abstract:

A brewing member includes a reservoir for receiving liquid, such as water, and an integral receptacle for holding beverage making material, such as ground coffee. The device is positionable upon a conventional drinking vessel for brewing a single serving of beverage, such as coffee. The device is also usable with a conventional beverage making appliance, such as the basket of a coffee maker, to produce a less than normal quantity of beverage. Further provided is a support member for holding a brewing member and positionally engageable with a drinking vessel.

Abstract:

A toilet includes a toilet bowl having a rim bounding a mouth. An attached toilet seat confronts the rim and an attached odor collector is capable of being activated moving air from the toilet bowl through the mouth and deodorizing the air. Shield structure between the rim and the toilet seat inhibits air from transferring between the toilet seat and the rim and channels air from the toilet bowl to the odor collector. A sensor is capable of sensing objects and activating the odor collector in response thereto.
