Abstract:
An industrial control system includes a motor drive, a wireless interface module, and a wireless user interface. The motor drive has at least a first port. The wireless interface module is coupled to the first port of the motor drive. The wireless user interface is operable to connect to the wireless interface module and establish a first connection through the wireless interface module to access the motor drive. A user interface operable to connect to a device within an industrial control system includes a display and a processing unit operable to establish a connection with the device and display an image representative of the device on the display responsive to establishing the connection.

In one embodiment, a motor drive is provided that includes a control board and one or more option boards coupled to the control board via one or more serial interfaces such that data from the one or more option boards is communicated via one or more synchronous interrupts on the one or more serial interfaces. A method of operating a motor drive that includes transmitting one or more signals from an option board to a control board via one or more synchronous interrupts, wherein the option board is coupled to the control board via a serial interface. A tangible machine-readable medium implementing the method is also provided.

Abstract:
The embodiments describe a control system and a method for programming a plurality of motor drives. One embodiment provides a control system including a workstation configured to acquire a configuration file, in which the configuration file is indicative of a programming configuration of a motor drive. The control system further includes a plurality of motor drives communicatively coupled to the workstation. The workstation is configured to transfer the configuration file to each of the plurality of motor drives, and each of the plurality of motor drives is configured to update the programming configuration associated with the motor drive based on the configuration file.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus used with a motor controller having a PWM inverter for eliminating discontinuities in a stator current that are caused by noise, command signal discontinuities and feedback corrections. While noise, discontinuities, and correction can cause multiple crossings between a carrier signal and a command signal during a half cycle of a carrier signal, the present invention only allows a single crossing during any carrier signal half cycle to effect motor operation.

Abstract:
A system includes a solid-state circuit breaker coupling between a power supply and an electrical load. The system also includes a gateway interface device communicatively coupled to the solid-state circuit breaker and includes a plurality of communication interfaces. In an embodiment, the gateway interface device includes a controller configured to perform operations including determining a connection status of at least one communication interface of the plurality of communication interfaces and determining a number of devices connected to the at least one communication interface, receive a signal from at least one device of the number of devices. In the embodiment, the operations may also include in response to receiving the signal, instructing the solid-state circuit breaker to disconnect the electrical load from the power supply.
