BA, PhilosophyFocus as a philosophy major was on semantics and the analysis and definition of aesthetics. The philosophy department at Davis was small, sometimes having no more than four students per class. Frequently work was alongside masters students, which allowed ample opportunity to discuss the most pressing issues. The importance of focused writing was paramount, and clear papers discussing the issues revolving around the 20th century philosophers were expected.
