Abstract:
Techniques for correlating changing hydraulic pressure differentials with interval control valve (ICV) movements are contemplated. In some aspects, the disclosed technology includes include methods for applying, by a surface controller, a series of differential pressure values to a hydraulic-open line, receiving, from a position sensor, a corresponding valve position for each of the differential pressure values, and calculating a lag time, a move speed and a response delay for each of the first series of differential pressure values. In some aspects, the method can further include steps for generating an ICV positioning model based at least in part on the lag time, the move speed, and the response delay calculated for each of the first series of differential pressure values. Systems and computer-readable media are also provided.

Abstract:
A well bore completion tool includes an accelerometer having an accelerometer output representative of acceleration of the well bore completion tool. The well bore completion tool includes a signal conditioning device coupled to the accelerometer output and producing a conditioned accelerometer output. The well bore completion tool includes an uplink coupled to the conditioned accelerometer output.
A cable assembly, well system, and method of use. A cable assembly may comprise a protective covering and a cable disposed in the protective covering. The cable may comprise a center conductor, an insulator. The insulator may be disposed about the center conductor. The cable may comprise an extra conductive layer, where the extra conductive layer may comprise copper and may be disposed about the insulator, and an outer conductive casing. A well system may comprise a cable assembly, which may comprise a protective covering, and a cable. The well system may further comprise downhole equipment disposed in a wellbore, wherein the downhole equipment may be connected to the cable assembly. A method for using a cable assembly in a well may comprise providing the cable assembly, inserting the cable assembly in the well, and sending a signal current through the cable assembly from the surface to downhole equipment.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a fail-safe surface controlled electric subsurface safety valve for use in a well. For example, in one embodiment, an electric sub-surface safety valve (eSSSV) system is disclosed that includes a master control system; a subsea control module; and an electric sub-surface safety valve having dual, redundant electronic modules that are configured to control power to dual electromagnetic actuators that move a single valve.
Electro-Hydraulic System With A Single Control Line
A system for control using a hydraulic fluid includes a hydraulic control line for flowing the hydraulic fluid, a fluid line in fluid communication with the hydraulic control line, a flow controller configured to regulate a flow of the hydraulic fluid in the fluid line, and a piezoelectric device in fluid communication with the hydraulic control line and configured to actuate the flow controller upon receiving a selected flow of the hydraulic fluid.

Abstract:
A distributed downhole sensor system for a well includes a sensor array comprising. The sensor array includes a plurality of sensors and cable segments. Each sensor is associated with a unique digital address and locatable downhole to capture sensor data simultaneously and output the simultaneously captured sensor data under a first control condition, and a single sensor of the plurality of sensors is configured to capture sensor data independently and output the independently captured sensor data under a second control condition. The cable segments couple the sensors in a line or an array to deliver power to the sensors and provide a communication channel to and from the sensors.
