Private First Class Raborn was directly responsible in identifying and resolving a need for streamlining data concerning the PACOM AOR. He then took the initiative to build 36 comprehensive and accurate shapefile databases of 4 PACOM areas of interest. His efforts as a subject matter expert provided invaluable insight into the PACOM region. As a result, these databases left to the creation of 23 key products in the preparation for Ulchi Freedom Guardian and has enhanced the ACE's ability to conduct predictive analysis. Private First Class Raborn demonstrated his technical expertise during his transition from a Common Ground Station Operator to an Imagery Analyst by establishing a training outline; specifying tasks necessary to effectively exploit Imagery Intelligence. This training incorporated 15 Soldiers and greatly enhanced their proficiency as Geospatial Intelligence Analysts. Due to Private First Class Raborn's efforts, the Single Source section increased their overall effectiveness and situational awareness of the PACOM AOR.

Specialist Alexander K. Raborn, United States Army, distinguished himself by exceptionally meritorious service while deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM as Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Current Operations Non-Commissioned Officer, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division, International Security Assistance Force Joint Command, from 5 July 2011 to 4 July 2012. Specialist Raborn facilitated daily execution of 130 low-density, high-demand theater airborne assets conducting 10,500 sorties and collecting 125,000 hours of information critical to combat and stabilization operations. His keen attention to detail enabled airborne operations providing overwatch for more than 1,720 troops in contact events and six personnel recovery efforts. Specialist Raborn coordinated collection assets with multiple Task Force missions resulting in 160 High Value Targets being removed from the battlefield. Specialist Raborn demonstrated professional skill and maturity in making daily operational decisions in a position normally reserved for a Non-Commissioned Officer. The distinctive accomplishments of Specialist Raborn reflect great credit upon himself, the United States Army, and the Department of Defense.

SGT Raborn displayed outstanding confidence, professionalism and technical knowledge by briefing three different I Corps Commanding Generals on 11 Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) products and briefing eight products to the General Staff. These briefings greatly increased the visibility of the I Corps GEOINT sections' robust capabilities while effectively conveying decision-quality intelligence. SGT Raborn had a direct impact on enhancing the situational understanding of the most senior leaders on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. SGT Raborn's commitment to developing and conducting training directly enhanced the knowledge of 30 GEOINT Soldiers in the areas of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Imagery, Google Earth Keyhole Markup Language (KML) and Compressed Keyhole Markup Language (KMZ), Gemini Advanced Search, Land Navigation and First Aid. In addition, SGT Raborn created the Moving Target Indicator (MTI) Forensic Fusion Product Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), ensuring the quality and uniformity of products. SGT Raborn's commitment to physical fitness reflects not only on him but also on the overall physical fitness level of his fellow Soldiers. SGT Raborn earned his Army Physical Fitness Badge with a score of 290 and led Special Population Physical Training for the GEOINT section. Always leading from the front, SGT Raborn motivated Soldiers to always do their bet and to continuously improve their physical fitness. SGT Raborn's outstanding leadership has allowed him to mentor two Soldiers through difficult life situations while keeping them motivated and focused on their mission. He closely monitored the civilian education progress of Soldiers, helping them enroll in SAT preparation courses and begin the process of achieving college credit. SGT Raborn has successfully performed his roles as a Team Leader as well as that of Squad Leader when needed. He is an outstanding natural leader who does whatever it takes to assist Soldiers.
