Description:
WORKING WITH FIRST TIME BUYERS Stephanie gained a unique knowledge of first-time buyer financing and down payment assistance programs through her work with a local nonprofit housing developer at the peak of the foreclosure crisis in Minneapolis. Her knowledge base has not only allowed her to help buyers attain homeownership, but in many neighborhoods it has also helped her sellers achieve a sale. As Stephanie points out: "Buying your first house is not just about getting a place to live - it's about getting a base started for your financial future. Buying the right house the first time around means you may enjoy it more, stay in it longer, or see a better return when you eventually do decide to move. With interest rates at all-time lows, this is a fantastic market for buyers to achieve homeownership and hopefully start to build equity for the future. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the process." THINKING OF SELLING YOUR HOME? Stephanie's knowledge of homes, staging, use of quality, wide-angle digital photography, and straight-forward approach to working with sellers has made Stephanie a favorite agent among sellers. She advocates for sellers to create a "plan" to effectively move forward. In her own words, Stephanie says: "Sellers need honesty in today's market. They need to have a realistic plan to prepare their home for sale, a realistic price, and an agent who enjoys being a salesperson. High-quality photos, complimentary staging and repair advice, and consistent marketing of the properties with broker opens, public open houses, reverse prospect searches, high-tech tools, and old-fashion networking are key to getting a home sold in any market. If a client's goal is to buy the next house, we also need to have a plan for how they will achieve their goals when there is often limited or no equity in their current home." In addition to being named Rookie of the Year and Listing Agent of the Year by her broker in 2010, Stephanie recently achieved her 2012 business plan goal of closing 50 real estate transactions in a single year. Her formula to success? "Keep your focus on what you want to achieve, and don't let what others are doing - or not doing - distract you from your goals. Just get the job done." EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Prior to becoming a Realtor, Stephanie had over 15 years of sales experience in the insurance industry and spent 2 years working with a nonprofit real estate developer, coordinating an effort to buy, renovate, and resell foreclosed homes in Minneapolis.
