Abstract:

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are provided. An exemplary MOF includes a plurality of metal clusters, at least one linking ligand, and at least one dopant. Doped MOFs according to embodiments of the present invention have significantly increased H2 uptake capacity, and some embodiments meet the 2010 DOE H2 storage target of 6 wt % at a temperature ranging from −30 to 80 C. and a pressure less than or equal to 100 bar.

Abstract:

An inner suspension system for a speaker assembly comprising a center spider, an intermediate spider, and a linear spider. The system reduces distortion of the output from the speaker and increases axial integrity of the movement of the cone. The center spider and intermediate spider are disk shaped and are each attached to the frame of the speaker assembly and to different points on the voice coil former. The linear spider, on the other hand, is cylindrically shaped and is attached to the pole piece of the magnetic motor structure, and the cone converges upon the other end of the cylindrically shaped linear spider.

Abstract:

A speaker box with improved low frequency response. Three chambers of specified proportion are provided which allow vibration of both front-cone and rear-cone sound waves projected from an internally installed low frequency speaker. Housing is provided for one or more higher frequency speakers, further providing rear covers to protect the speakers from low frequency sound wave interference. Ports are also provided for rear-cone sound wave emission.

Abstract:

A system and method for monitoring a presence of an individual in a geo-fence relative to a central facility. The invention effectuates tracking of field workers for home health and home care as well as a plethora of other applications. The invention provides real time data on the duration of time the care provider spends with a patient while holding the care provider accountable for being on site for the duration of care. In a most general embodiment, the invention includes means for receiving and storing geo-fence data on a first mobile computing and communications platform; logging time at a location defined by said geo-fence data; and transmitting the time log to a second computing platform. In a specific embodiment, the invention includes means for biometrically identifying a care provider within the geo-fence and outputting data to the second computing platform with respect thereto. The biometric identification may be implemented with fingerprint, voice print, facial recognition or other suitable means.
