A low-foaming herbicidal composition comprises glyphosate and a poly(alkylene oxide)alkanol having the formula RRCH—R—(OR)—OH (I) wherein Rand Rare methyl or ethyl, Ris a straight chain alkylene group containing from 5 to 12 carbon atoms, Ris an alkylene group containing 2 or 3 carbon atoms and n is from 4 to 20.
