Abstract:
Methods and systems for adaptively controlling process parameters in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. An embodiment provides for gain scheduling of PID controllers across recipe steps. One embodiment provides a method for controlling a chuck temperature during a semiconductor manufacturing process, the method employing a first set of proportional-integral-derivative (PID) values in a PID controller to control the chuck temperature at a first setpoint in a first step of a process recipe and employing a second set of PID values in the PID controller to control the chuck temperature at a second setpoint, different than the first setpoint, in a second step of the process recipe. The methods and systems provide reduced controller response times where process parameter setpoint between steps of a process recipe span a wide range.
The invention provides a deflectable catheter capable of forming many variable radius spiral forms from a single, flexible, distal end section. In one aspect, the catheter employs a variable radius control wire to extend or deform a pre-formed loop structure into a three dimensional spiral-like form or geometry. The ability of a single catheter to create a multitude of shapes and sizes allows users to access to a number of anatomical areas without changing the catheter during a procedure or treatment. In another aspect, the invention encompasses methods of producing deflectable variable radius catheters, where two or more regions of the catheter having common control wires are fused or formed onto one another.

Abstract:
Methods for processing a substrate are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method of etching a dielectric layer includes generating a plasma by pulsing a first RF source signal having a first duty cycle; applying a second RF bias signal having a second duty cycle to the plasma; applying a third RF bias signal having a third duty cycle to the plasma, wherein the first, second, and third signals are synchronized; adjusting a phase variance between the first RF source signal and at least one of the second or third RF bias signals to control at least one of plasma ion density non-uniformity in the plasma or charge build-up on the dielectric layer; and etching the dielectric layer with the plasma.

In one aspect, the catheter employs a variable radius control wire to extend or deform a pre-formed loop structure into a three dimensional spiral-like form or geometry. The ability of a single catheter to create the multitude of shapes and sizes possible allows users to access a greater number of anatomical areas without changing the catheter during a procedure or treatment. In another aspect, the invention encompasses methods of producing deflectable variable radius catheters, where two or more regions of the catheter having common control wires are fused or formed onto one another.
Retrievable Implant And Method For Treatment Of Mitral Regurgitation
Duy Nguyen - Corona CA, US Kim Nguyen - Irvine CA, US
International Classification:
A61F 2/24
US Classification:
623 236
Abstract:
The invention is a device, and method for deploying same, configured for placement in a body lumen such as a coronary sinus, as may be desired to repair a mitral valve. The device includes a first anchor, a second anchor, and a bridge. The anchors are configured to delivered to a desired deployment site within the body lumen in a collapsed or contracted condition, and then be deployed by expanding the anchors into contact with the walls of the body lumen. One or more of the anchors may be configured to be radially collapsible after initial deployment in order to permit the anchor(s) to be repositioned in or removed from the body lumen. An anchor may be collapsible in response to a distal force applied to a portion of a proximal end thereof. A catheter for use with the implant is configured to deliver the implant to the site with the anchors in their respective collapsed configurations, and to release the anchors to permit them to expand into contact with the walls of the body lumen. The catheter is configured to apply a proximal force to one or both anchors, which may be applied via a cinch wire. The catheter may also be configured to apply a distal force against a portion of the proximal end of one or more of the anchors.

Abstract:
A diagnostic catheter having both a guidewire lumen and at least one contrast lumen is disclosed. In one embodiment, the contrast lumens allow the user to deliver contrast to a target area within the patient without removing the guidewire. Preferably, a plurality of contrast exit ports are included along the length of the catheter body to evenly and consistently distribute contrast into the blood stream, thereby providing improved visualization during radioscopy.
Expandable Sheath For Introducing An Endovascular Delivery Device Into A Body

Edwards Lifesciences Corporation - Irvine CA
International Classification:
A61F 2/06 A61B 19/00
US Classification:
623 111, 128898
Abstract:
Embodiments of an expandable sheath can be used in conjunction with a catheter assembly to introduce a prosthetic device, such as a tissue heart valve, into a patient. Such embodiments can minimize trauma to the vessel by allowing for temporary expansion of a portion of the introducer sheath to accommodate the delivery apparatus, followed by a return to the original diameter once the prosthetic device passes through. Some embodiments can comprise a sheath with inner and outer tubular layers, and an intermediate tubular layer comprising a shape memory alloy. Other embodiments comprise one or more layers having one or more longitudinal notches or cuts to facilitate expansion of the sheath. Embodiments of the present expandable sheath can avoid the need for multiple insertions for the dilation of the vessel, thus offering advantages over prior art introducer sheaths.

Methods and systems for controlling temperatures in plasma processing chamber with reduced controller response times and increased stability. Temperature control is based at least in part on a feedforward control signal derived from a plasma power input into the processing chamber. A feedforward control signal compensating disturbances in the temperature attributable to the plasma power may be combined with a feedback control signal counteracting error between a measured and desired temperature.

Michele Obama and Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau team up to hail Canadian fashion at the state dinner.
Grgoire-Trudeau arrived in Washington Wednesday wearing a cream-colored trouser suit by the designer Duy Nguyen, who is from Montreal. For the Canada 2020 cocktail reception, she chose an simply cut jacket swirling with flowers and butterflies from the spring collection of Ellie Mae Studio.
Duy Nguyen, 39, an associate professor in Temple University's School of Social Work, was riding in the seventh and last car. He didn't notice the steady acceleration as he chatted on the phone with his wife, Amy Dwyer. They spoke about their two kids and renovations to their Teaneck, N.J., house. When Duy Nguyen realized he was still in Pennsylvania, he asked police to take him to Temple, where he taught. First, he borrowed a phone and called his wife. He was bleeding badly from a gash to his head, but otherwise he was OK.
