Abstract:
The invention relates to apparatus and methods for producing three-dimensional objects and auxiliary systems used in conjunction with the aforementioned apparatus and methods. The apparatus and methods involve 3D printing and servicing of the equipment used in the associated 3D printer.
A high visibility hook latch may include a hook arm having a proximal end and a distal end; a handle pivotably attached to the proximal end of the hook arm; and a connector having a first connector end pivotably attached to the distal end of the hook arm via a link and a second connector end pivotably attached to the handle proximate to the hook arm.

Abstract:
A sensor pin coupled to a latch is described herein. The sensor pin includes a sensor pin body including a sensor, a sensor bolt extending from the sensor pin body and having a rod cavity arranged at a non-straight angle with regard to an interface pin cavity, an actuator rod slidably positioned within the rod cavity, and an interface pin slidably positioned within the interface pin cavity and mechanically coupled to the actuator rod such that actuation of the interface pin causes axial movement of the actuator rod toward the sensor. Additionally, actuation of the sensor by the actuator rod triggers transmission of a latch state signal by the sensor.

Abstract:
A connection rod assembly is provided that includes a connection rod, a first ball lock connector including an outer pin slidably mated with an inner spindle, including an aperture, and coupled to the connection rod, a ball lock bearing at least partially positioned within the aperture, an actuation interface coupled to the inner spindle, slidable with regard to the outer pin, and including a sleeve at least partially surrounding the outer pin, and a spring positioned within the outer pin. In a locked configuration the spring is unloaded and the ball lock bearing radially extends beyond an outer surface of the outer pin and engages with a detent in a first component. On the other hand, in an unlocked configuration the spring is loaded and the ball lock bearing is retained in a groove in the inner spindle.
A bin latch system. A bin latch mechanism that has been designed with weight, number of components, simplicity of operation and installation as main design drivers. The bin latch utilizes spring loaded rods that are ‘pulled’ to release the locking subassemblies. The rods lock two sets of interlocking housings in place. Due to the nature of the rod actuator, the design is binary in nature and needs both sets of interlocking housings to be secured before the interface handle can go to ‘full close’ position. Additionally, there is no rigging necessary at install. Once the assembly is in secured in place, it is ready to be operated.

Abstract:
A ball lock pin is provided to avoids the problem of falling balls via machining the retention ring (previously deformed ring) from the inside of the pin body, thus creating a stable and extremely well controlled surface where the steel balls can rest. The pin body does not need to be deformed, thus eliminates any potential corrosion to build up in the area.

Abstract:
A latch with a unique nesting toggle linkage that extends and retracts a hook via movement of an actuation handle. The linkage links have U-shaped lateral cross sections with a central channel into which the respective links nest when the latch is closed to minimize the overall volume of the latch. The links fold toward each other while closing to reduce the latch's overall length when fully closed. The components of the latch are arranged so that the center of gravity of the latch is positioned in front of a mounting pin; therefore, in applications where the latch swings in the vertical plane, the hook will necessarily hang downwardly away from the keeper when the latch is open. Optionally, a keeper detector prevents the actuation handle from closing if the keeper has not been first captured in the mouth of the hook. A rod-and-cylinder slide mechanism may be employed between the hook body and the mounting pin.
A channel latch having a lock for holding the latch bolt closed which includes a secondary locking feature that prevents the lock from being turned. The lock mechanism has a tumbler barrel with a central reciprocal plunger that has a key portion which outwardly projects through the barrel into a keyway in the bolt. The plunger is depressed downward against a spring when a tool is inserted into the tumbler to turn it. The keyway includes longitudinal grooves and a pathway that restrict the upward release of the plunger only when the tumbler is turned to either the locked or unlocked position. Once the plunger is released the key and groove abutment prevents the lock from being turned.

Todd Frantz, a history teacher picketing at Amundsen High School on the North Side, waved a sign that read, "There's right and then there's Rahm." CTU member Andres Hernandez marched with a sign that proclaimed, "Back to Oz. Rahm no brain. Claypool no courage. Rauner no heart."
The death compelled his now-deceased brother, Andres Hernandez, to join with Dr. Frank Hesse and the late Max Bennett to start a statewide effort to recruit and retain health professionals in rural areas.
